Salesforce.com boasts 35 percent ANZ customer increase

Claim comes on the back of solid global financial results

Salesforce.com is claiming a 35 percent increase in its Australia and New Zealand customer base over the 12 months to 31 January.

Over the period the customer relationship management (CRM) solution and cloud platform company inked wins with Ricoh, Perpetual, Integ and the Victorian Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development to take its total customer list to 2800 a net gain of 700 for the year.

Globally the company recorded a full year revenue rise of 21 percent year-on-year and finished its financial year with 72,500 customers.

Like many multinational vendors, Salesforce.com did not provided a break down of its Australian financial performance but claimed growth across all sectors.

The company has also been striving in recent months to push an image of being more than just a software-as-a-service provider (SaaS) and highlighted a total of 5400 programmers taking part in its local developer community, on the Force.com platform.

Globally it claims more than 135,000 custom applications have been built with Force.com and more than 200,000 programmers now belong to the developer network.
