Verizon Wireless outage outraging customers

Verizon Wireless customers have taken to the carrier's support forums and social media sites such as Twitter to complain about what appears to be a nationwide 3G/4G wireless data outage.

There were no signs on the Verizon Wireless website or its Twitter feeds regarding the outage, which according to some customer reports started as early as last night.

Customers also took to Twitter with posts such as:

"It's the Galaxy Nexus' fault probably."

"Verizon facing another data outage across the country: Twenty-eleven has been a rough year for Verizon Wireless"

And:

"Verizon is the new AT&T."
