Liverpool University brings in Sudlows to speed campus network

Sudlows has recently won contracts with The Co-operative Group, Zen Internet and United Utilities

The University of Liverpool is updating its data and communications infrastructure after bringing in data centre and IT infrastructure specialist Sudlows as its preferred supplier.

With over 20,000 students and more than 4,000 staff spread across a 100 acre campus, Sudlows will help deliver essential upgrades to the University's data and communications infrastructure as part of a wider £600 million campus investment programme.

The University said it wanted to build a faster and more reliable network for its students and staff, to help bolster its academic record and aid research projects.

Chris Dummett, commercial director at Sudlows, said: "We have an established track record in deploying multi-campus data infrastructures to many of the UK's most successful educational institutions."

Sudlows has recently won contracts with The Co-operative Group, Zen Internet and United Utilities.
