Air NZ appoints new GM of IT production

David Shepherd replaces Chris Trigg, who has moved to Genesis Energy.

Air New Zealand has appointed David Shepherd as general manager of group IT production.

Before this, Shepherd was disaster recovery assurance manager at the airline. He replaces Chris Trigg, now general manager information technology at Genesis Energy. Trigg joined Air New Zealand in 2006 from Vodafone, and moved to a range of ICT executive roles in the airline, including acting CIO.

At Genesis Energy, Trigg reports to Sheridan Broadbent, general manager strategy and business technology, a newly created role. Broadbent joined Genesis more than two years ago, as general manager people and transformation. She was previously with Downer and Telecom.
