Telecom confirms Reynolds' leaving date

Chris Quin to be acting CEO until September

Gen-i CEO Chris Quin will be acting CEO of Telecom from June, until Simon Moutter takes over the role on September 1. Telecom has announced that Paul Reynolds will remain at the telco to support Quin during June and leave the company on June 30, the end of Telecom's financial year.

Quin had at one time been tipped to be the new Telecom CEO; however he lost out to Moutter, who was COO of Telecom when Theresa Gattung was CEO.

β€œI would like to thank Paul for his leadership of Telecom during a period of unprecedented change,” says Telecom chair Mark Verbiest.

β€œHe has led the company through two radical revisions of the regulatory environment as well as the successful demerger and creation of Chorus as a completely independent company.”
