The New Zealand Automobile Association is moving its mobile users off Vodafone and on to Telecom's new XT network.
AA CIO Doug Wilson says the company was only half way through its contract with Vodafone and needed a compelling reason to move its mobile business to Gen-i. The total number of devices affected is around 700, he says.
Wilson says a combination of factors led to the decision
“Relationships are a key part of our success and it was important for us to partner with a mobile provider that was prepared to provide more than just a great mobile offering," he says.
That's where Telecom's Gen-i division comes in. Wilson says partnering with a local ICT provider for mobile solutions was an important part of the mix.
“Gen-i’s ICT expertise, coupled with the new XT Mobile Network, will help us create converged communications solutions that combine fixed and mobile networks for business efficiencies," he says.
