Fronde has returned to profit for the half-year to September 30.
Profit before tax was $958,000, compared with $623,000 for the previous corresponding period. Turnover for the half year was $18.05 million versus $12.60 million
The company posted a loss of $1.78 million for the previous financial year, after impairing the assets of Fronde Anywhere by $1.987 million.
Chief executive Ian Clarke says the group’s cash position continued to improve, closing the half year at $1.2 million, $400,000 better than at March 31. “The reshaping of our business has resulted in revenue levels 40 percent higher than for the comparable six months last year.”
He says the company has had four significant supplier panel wins since April, which he can’t disclose, and a large tender win at NZ Post with its Localist start-up business. Google sales exceeded expectations.
Permanent staff numbers remained unchanged during the period, during which margins softened slightly, he says.
Previously Clarke said the company intends to focus on cloud computing, mobility solutions and CRM.
