Gen-i has entered into a partnership with several agriculture sector organisations to develop RuralZone, a cloud-based information resource for rural businesses and organisations.
The partners in the project are Anzco Foods, Tru-Test and AgTrac.
RuralZone will be hosted on Gen-i’s ReadyCloud server. According to a statement from Gen-i announcing the project, it will “bring together information from different sources, allowing rural organisations, including farmers, processors, transporters, research bodies and retailers, to maximise the value of this information and achieve goals specific to their business.”
Gen-i describes RuralZone as “a technology infrastructure, or gateway, that creates a secure platform for business transactions, along with expert monitoring and auditing.”
