Eagle buys Enprise's SAP practice

Eagle Technology has bought the SAP Business One consulting practice of Enprise Solutions.

From September 15, Eagle inherited the Enprise SAP Business One client base and the associated support and maintenance contracts, a statement released today says.

This doubles the installed base of SAP Business One clients and provides additional trained consultants within Eagle.

Enprise will continue to operate as an SAP independent software vendor, developing, marketing and supporting its Job Costing Product for Business One.

Eagle's CEO, Gary Langford, says the acquisition will facilitate a consolidation in the market and the foundation for a long-term relationship between the two companies in the New Zealand ERP market.

“We see SAP Business One as the emerging ERP leader for all but the very largest New Zealand companies and organisations,” Langford says. “Continuing to build our SAP Business One implementation and consulting capability is highly strategic for us and this acquisition is consistent with that strategy.”

Enprise Solutions CEO Mark Loveys says the sale to Eagle made sense for both parties.

Enprise will focus on its core Exonet implementation practice, which services more than 250 local companies and organisations including long-term blue chip customers such as Ullrich Aluminium and Vodafone Retail Stores.

The Enprise Job Costing module for SAP Business One already has strong international market penetration with over 150 customers in seven countries, he says.

Enprise launched it’s SAP Business One practice four years ago.

Loveys was the original developer of Exonet. After the sale of the company to Solution 6 he participated in a management buyout of Exonet’s Enprise division.

“With the purchase of Exonet by MYOB, the product has a secure future and we have found it increasingly difficult to manage the channel conflict issues, implementing two competing solutions in the New Zealand market.

“The sale of our SAP Business One business to Eagle is a good outcome for all parties, including customers, and has the strong support of SAP,” Loveys says.
