Global consulting and IT services provider Mahindra Satyam has appointed Bobby Gupta to lead its Australia and New Zealand business. Telecom NZ is one of the company’s major clients.
Gupta, who will be based in Sydney, joined Mahindra Satyam from IBM in 2009.
In his new role, he will build on one-of-the largest English-speaking markets for Mahindra Satyam.
The company is part of the USD $15.9 billion Mahindra Group, which employs more than 155,000 people in over 100 countries and is based in Hyderabad, India.
Mahindra Satyam earns 24 percent of its revenues from what it calls the “Rest of the World” market, which comprises of the geographies of Australia, New Zealand, Middle East, and countries other than India in Asia, and Africa.
