Xero has chosen Melbourne as its official Australian headquarters, and CEO Rod Drury has pledged that the online accounting firm will create 50 new jobs in the state of Victoria over the next five years.
Drury’s plans were noted by Australian media after an announcement by Victorian ICT minister John Lenders that Xero and Australian firm Online Service Corporation have committed to locating their Australian headquarters in the state.
Xero has had a presence in Australia for some time, and has a reseller agreement with Telstra.
