UFB lobby group gets CEO

Ex-Voco consultant to NZRFG takes role

The New Zealand Regional Fibre Group, the umbrella organisation representing fibre companies and electricity lines operators interested in participating in the ultra-fast broadband rollout, has appointed Vaughan Baker, a former consultant to the organisation, as CEO.

Baker was most recently a consultant at Voco, where he was programme manager for the NZ Regional Fibre Group.

In that role, he was responsible for coordinating development of strategy, policy positions and supporting material for members’ submissions on the UFB project.

He has also worked as commercial manager for technology services at Fonterra, and as legal and compliance services manager at IAG.

NZRFG members include fibre operators CityLink and Vector, as well as many lines companies.
