Renaissance has named Shaun Rendell as its new chief financial officer, replacing Clive Lewis, who left at the end of December along with the company’s former chief executive, Paul Johnston.
Lewis and Johnston left after Renaissance posted worse-than-expected financial results last year.
In a statement to the NZ Stock Exchange announcing the appointment, new Renaissance CEO Richard Webb is quoted as saying: “senior executives of Shaun’s calibre and with his kind of successful track record are not easy to find.
“We’re delighted that he has agreed to join Renaissance and look forward to the strategic vision and insights he will bring to the group.”
Rendell has significant experience in the telecommunications industry, having worked at British Telecom before migrating to New Zealand in 2003. His most recent position before joining Renaissance was acting chief financial officer at TelstraClear.
