Revell leaves Zintel after six-month absence

Following medical leave, former MD opts to officially resign

Peter Revell has formally resigned from Zintel, after going on medical leave for six months from March 19.

In a statement to the New Zealand Stock Exchange this afternoon, Zintel notes that Revell has resigned, effective immediately.

The statement notes: “Mr Revell has been on extended leave until 17 September 2009 due to health issues from which he has successfully recovered.

“Prior to his return he has decided to leave Zintel to focus on his own business providing professional management consulting services.”

Paul Connell, who took over as executive director when Revell took the medical leave in March, will remain in that role.

Revell is a longtime figure in the New Zealand IT industry, having been general manager for Novell until 2003, held the role of services director at Computerland and solutions delivery manager at Gen-i, before becoming Zintel's managing director in 2006.
