Specialist SAP consulting firm Oxygen Business Solutions has moved its chief executive's role to Australia and in so doing has lost its incumbent CEO, Mike Smith.
Smith, who joined the company in 2002 decided not to relocate due to personal reasons, he said in a statement released today.
“The time is right for the chief executive role to be based in Australia so the company can continue its strong regional growth.”
Oxygen is owned by UXC which is listed on the Australian stock exchange. UXC managing director Cris Nicolli paid tribute to Smith’s role in building the company.
“Smith was responsible for taking a Carter Holt Harvey (CHH) incubator business from start up through to commercialisation and eventually the sale to ASX-listed UXC.”
Stuart Dickinson, who has been in several executive roles at Oxygen since its inception in 2001, and who was previously the company’s general manager in Australia, replaces Smith as CEO.
Oxygen is the largest specialist supplier SAP software and services company in Australia and New Zealand with revenues of over A$650 million ($818 million) since 2002, the statement says.
