Capital DHB seeks management software

ICT engineers don't have 'full visibility', RFP states

Wellington’s Capital and Coast District Health Board is seeking an enterprise ICT system monitoring solution.

HealthIntelligence, a body that provides ICT services to the Wellington DHB, the Taranaki DHB and two hospices, has posted an RFP (request for proposal) on the GETS website, seeking such a system.

The RFP document notes “The CCDHB ICT infrastructure is continually growing and changing to meet CCDHB requirements, adding complexity to the management of networks, servers, databases, operating systems and applications.

“The end result is that ICT engineers do not have full visibility and up-to-the-minute information of critical systems, to identify failure points and take automated corrective action.

… The CCDHB is therefore looking for a solution to provide a proactive and more responsive approach to ICT infrastructure management”.

A final decision of preferred vendor/s is expected to be made by May 18 and all agreements are to be finalised and signed by May 25.

Among the requirements for the system are: that it be able to monitor quality of service; that it be able to monitor wireless networks; that it be able to monitor virtual infrastructure; that it be able to integrated with monitoring systems relating to SQL Server, VMware, Oracle, CommVault and NetApp; that it be able to archive and purge data; and that it must be able to scale and grow with the CCDHB business.
