Gen-i launches new training programme

Service delivery academy based on sales training scheme

Extending the concept of its sales academy, Gen-i has launched a service delivery academy.

The new academy is for the 1700 Gen-i staff who are employed in service provision and support.

In a statement announcing the creation of the service delivery academy, Gen-i CEO Chris Quin says: “The sales academy has been pivotal in developing our sales and client relationship skills to new levels, and we look forward to extending best practice in training and development across our entire service delivery organisation”.

The first group of service delivery staff will begin their training this month, and the programme will be extended to all service delivery personnel by next year.

Gen-i established its sales academy in 2005. In 2008, it entered into a partnership with the Waikato University business school under which Gen-i management and sales staff who graduate from the sales academy can enrol in the university’s post-graduate Certificate in Management Studies.
