EMC is expanding its Mozy online backup service with a new option targeted mainly at small businesses. MozyPro for Mac will let companies that use Macs back up their information automatically and securely at a remote location.
The MozyPro service offers the features of the consumer-level product, MozyHome, plus several additional capabilities aimed at small businesses. For example, businesses will be able to manage the backup of data from multiple computers from one centralised web-based interface that allows administrators to select which files are backed up, on what schedule, et cetera.
MozyPro also offers storage pooling and the ability to back up data on mapped drives and network shares.
