Google is seeking a stake in the local enterprise IT market through a partnership announced last month with Fronde.
Fronde was appointed as Google’s first partner in New Zealand for Google’s Compliance and eDiscovery products, as well as Google Apps, in New Zealand.
At the time, Fronde general manager Steven Graham said: “We are excited to be Google’s first New Zealand partner for the SaaS Google Apps, Google Security, Google Compliance and eDiscovery products.
“These products and services have not been available in New Zealand for enterprise customers before so this is a significant development for corporate organisations."
Across the Tasman, early adopters of Google Apps include New South Wales’ De Bortoli Wines.
In New Zealand, the University of Auckland and Waikato University are bulk users of Google’s gmail webmail service, through Google’s GAEE (Google Apps Education Edition).
Auckland University also uses Google Talk and Calendaring under the scheme.
