Gen-i has won a five-year contract to upgrade Progressive Enterprises’ local ICT infrastructure.
The deal, which involves transitioning Progressive’s approximately 150 stores to a managed services environment, builds on Gen-i’s existing relationship with Progressive, as its telecommunications services provider.
Progressive is part of Woolworths and operates the Countdown, Foodtown and Woolworths supermarket chains in New Zealand.
Part of the upgrade will involve introducing point-of-sale and logistics solutions in use at Woolworths Australia supermarkets into Progressive’s NZ supermarket chains.
Other recent wins for Gen-i include a deal to provide data and voice services to the Ministry of Social Development and a contract to provide TVNZ with voice services, a WAN and contribution linking, a service that delivers video quality links for broadcasters.
