Ian Graham is a unique figure in the New Zealand ICT landscape. One of the founders of UK-listed network probe vendor Endace, he holds a PhD from Cambridge, where he worked on microwave receivers for radio telescopes.
He moved to New Zealand in 1986 as a senior lecturer in computer science - after fifteen years in archaeological science, including teaching at the Institute of Archaeology at the University of London.
He was the Dean of the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Waikato for 13 years until 2003. Endace's technology was initially developed by a university research team between 1995 to 2001.
