Orion Health moves up US IT revenue list

The company now holds the 70th spot

Auckland-based Orion Health, a provider of clinical workflow and integration technology for the healthcare sector, has moved up the list of the top 100 Healthcare IT companies in the US, as ranked by Healthcare Informatics.

Ranked in the top 100 for the third year running, the company moved up seven positions since 2007 to 70th place and is the only New Zealand-owned company to make the ranking, according to the company.

Healthcare Informatics survey, which is annual, ranks the top 100 vendors according to their 2007 healthcare IT revenue.

"This ranking is recognition that Orion Health is making significant progress in solving complex health data integration issues in North America," says Orion Health chief executive Ian McCrae.

Last week, Orion reported $53 million in consolidated gross revenue for 2007-2008. The company continues to expand its business in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, it says.
