Civica acquires Fujitsu’s ANZ local authorities business

Company to open new office in Auckland

Local government specialist Civica has acquired Fujitsu’s local authorities business in Australia and New Zealand.

The acquisition includes Fujitsu’s existing local authorities customer base, intellectual property rights to Fujitsu’s local authority software applications, and all associated assets, a statement released today says.

“Fujitsu’s 60-plus local authority customers in Australia and New Zealand will significantly strengthen our position as a leading supplier to this sector and provide an excellent opportunity to build our presence in the New Zealand local government market,” Civica’s managing director, Peter Anderson, says.

Civica has more than 250 local government customers in Australia and New Zealand using the company’s software and services.

Civica’s Australian operations will expand to include the existing Fujitsu premises in Orange, New South Wales and a new office will be established in Auckland, New Zealand.
