Telecom appoints Moutter as transformation lead

Key appointments in the new Telecom structure are confirmed

Telecom yesterday announced the appointment of Simon Moutter to the role of "chief transformation officer".

Moutter was previously COO of Telecom Business and acting COO of Telecom Retail.

"The creation of this new role on Telecom's executive team of chief transformation officer is reflective of the sheer size and scope of the transformation ahead for Telecom New Zealand," said Paul Reynolds, the CEO of Telecom, in a statement.

Moutter's responsibilities will include overall leadership of the change programmes that aim to transform the Telecom Group by embedding customer focus, enabling new technologies and delivering productivity benefits, the statement says.

Telecom also announced that Chris Quin has accepted the role of CEO Gen-i, across New Zealand and Australia.
