Last part of Navman sold to private equity

Chicago-based firm picks up fleet management business

The last part of the former Navman business, it's fleet management unit, has been sold.

US leisure equipment manufacturer Brunswick announced the sale today to Navman Wireless Holdings, a Chicago-based private equity firm formed by Prairie Capital.

The company says current Brunswick New Technologies executive staff will continue to manage Navman Wireless.

Brunswick has already sold parts of its New Technologies unit to Navico International and to MiTAC.

"This transaction will essentially bring the sale of the BNT business units to a close," Brunswick's chairman and chief executive officer Dustan E. McCoy said in a statement. "For Brunswick, we are able to go forward more focused upon our core businesses, while the fleet management operations begin a new phase with the benefit of having the existing senior BNT management team at the helm."
