UXC snaps up eOne - third buy in just months

Purchase follows those of BCT and Oxygen

Australian services provider UXC has made another acquisition, this time snapping up Microsoft Great Plains implementer eOne, which is based in Australia but also has an Auckland office.

EOne will be merged with UXC’s existing Great Plains’ business, Eclipse Computing, and the combined team will have 37 staff, approximately ten of whom will come from eOne’s Auckland office.

UXC business solutions group chief executive Cris Nicolli says, “We have every intention of keeping [the Auckland office] going and will keep everyone who can and wants to stay.”

“[The purchase of eOne] gives us the ability to bring Eclipse’s capabilities to that office, that is additional Microsoft products,” says Nicolli. Eclipse resells Microsoft Axapta and Navision, as well as SalesLogix CRM and iTouch wireless products.

The eOne acquisition is the third buy UXC has made in recent months. The others are Australian security specialist BCT, which it bought earlier this year, and New Zealand SAP specialist Oxygen, which it bought at the end of last year.
