Auckland accounting system company Profax has become the first public sponsor of the open source internet document exchange project DevCentre (see Developer aims to plug e-biz gap).
Profax's Paul Heinz believes the project is "laudable", and the sponsorship will take the form of public support and "small levels of funding".
Nothingbutnet director Peter Harrison, who is behind DevCentre, says he is working on agreements with several other organisations.
