I am a network consultant with 10 years’ IT experience. I am a Master CNE (Certified Novell Engineer) and Microsoft Systems Engineer+Internet, as well as being a Cisco Certified Network associate. I have also had experience working with OS2 and various Unix systems. I moved from New Zealand to the UK two years ago and am now employed in a business partnership with Microsoft and Novell partner status. I have worked with banks, financial and various other clients consulting on and implementing cross platform solutions using current client/server environments.
My current UK income is around £80,000 with the usual small business tax benefits. I am considering moving back to New Zealand in the next few years.

If you are a hands on technical person your worth would be less, but based on your consulting abilities you could be on a total package ranging between $100,000 to $120,000. Up to 20% of the package would be based on income you are expected to generate.
