Carter Holt Harvey’s former information chief, Jeremy Fleming, has been appointed chief executive of the company’s largest division.
Fleming, who one year ago helped set up and currently heads CHH’s IT outsourcing unit Oxygen, has been at Carter Holt Harvey 17 years and originally trained as a forester.
When Forest Resources CEO Paul Fowler announced he was going to step down, Fleming was asked to apply for the job.
Forest Resources is the biggest forestry owner and manager in New Zealand and has $13 billion worth of assets.
CHH spokesperson Stuart Dickinson says most of Fleming’s time at the company has been spent working within the forestry business.
Fleming takes up the new job on April 31.
The company is looking for someone to run Oxygen, which specialises in SAP development and deployment.
