Asia-Pacific serves up Intel's biggest market

35% of Intel's revenue comes form the Asia Pacific market. But revenues down 20% on this time last year

          The Asia-Pacific region, excluding Japan, accounted for 35%, or $US2.4 billion, of Intel's fourth-quarter revenue in 2001, compared with 33%, or $US2.3 billion, for the Americas.

          Intel reported fourth-quarter net income before acquisition-related costs of $US998 million, down 62% from a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter was $US7 billion, down 20% from the same period a year ago.
