Dear What Am I Worth,
I am 24 years old and have just started a IT support job in the Far North. The company I work for has approximately 100 PCs and around 20 laptops, as well a variety of printers that I troubleshoot when needed. My main job is desktop support, but I also do installations, training on some databases, Word, Excel 95, 98 and 2000, and Outlook 2000.
I have had previous experience with computers at my last job, on a secretarial level, but have learnt a lot since starting my current job. I have completed a Certificate in Commerce Studies at AIT, passing computer essentials, and started a Diploma in Business.

Icon Recruitment replies: You now have that all-important foot in the door. It’s time to build up that experience where you are currently. I would expect you to be worth around $28,000 to $33,000.
It is important to complete your study and definitely enquire about completing MCSE (Microsoft certified systems engineer) qualifications. With the study and commercial experience under your belt you can expect to be worth considerably more.
