Dear What Am I Worth,

I have been in the computer industry for seven years with different companies.

During the past three years, I have been working as network administrator for the New Zealand branch of a global company and was recently promoted to IS manager. My work experience includes LAN and WAN infrastructure design and implementation, Windows network administration and Cisco router configuration. I have also supported and administrated Novell 3.11 and 4.11, SAP R/3 and been a Linux system administrator.

I have formal Lotus Notes Domino training and experience, have implemented and supported remote access systems and done help desk for 40 users. I passed all the Windows 2000 exams and have become a Microsoft certified system engineer. To be an IS manager, my responsibilities will include business analysis and new project management.

Pinnacle Recruitment replies: You have a great technical background, but are still gaining the management and business skills which will round off your career as a manager. With no direct reports to manage I would expect you to be worth $60,000 to $65,000 in your new role.
