T.Data has been appointed the sole distributor for networking vendor Digi International in New Zealand, only weeks after Digi reviewed its distribution family tree and had given Brocker Technology Group the exclusive rights.

Brocker’s deal with Digi ended abruptly only days after it was announced in February, when Brocker quit the computer distribution business.

T.Data is also signing up distribution rights for Perle, one of Digi’s competitors. Both Digi and Perle are trying to raise their local profile to take advantage of Intel discontinuing its Shiva range of remote access tools.

T.Data has employed Brocker’s former business development manager, Craig Willis, to look after the Digi, Milan and InsideOut product ranges.

Meanwhile, in Australia listed IT conglomerate Iocom has closed distributor MUA, which sold IBM and Hewlett Packard hardware and Unix and Citrix software.
