How significant is a National Diploma in Business Computing when it comes to getting a job? Would this be enough to get my foot in the door for a programming job at entry level or should I continue my studies? I was thinking of language-specific courses.

Pinnacle Recruitment replies: The NDBC is a well recognised diploma and, depending on your attitude and aptitude, certainly would be enough to get you an entry-level programming job. I would recommend that you complete the diploma and then get the entry-level position (this will give you language-specific training).
Continue your studies part-time and complete your BCS or BSc. This gives you two very important things — business experience on your CV and an internationally recognised degree. The hardest thing for graduates is to get that first job. If you have been working in the industry and have a couple of years’ experience when you graduate, you have an unbeatable combination.
