Peace wins another slice of energy pie

Whangarei-based power company Northpower has chosen the Peace plan to electricity billing.

Software company Peace Computers has won its third major contract in the energy market, signing Whangarei-based Northpower. Northpower, which covers Whangarei and Kaipara, has 43,000 customers.

The contract follows the implementation of Peace’s ENERGY system at newly merged TransAlta NZ and a $3 million contract with NSW energy company Advance Energy earlier this year.

ENERGY is a specialist billing and information system designed for electricity, gas and water companies. It is Unix-based and supports all business functions from purchasing and asset management, through meter and premise management, to customer care and sales analysis.
