International travellers can now familiarise themselves with their first point of contact on arriving in New Zealand--before they leave home.
Auckland International Airport has launched a Web site with a range of travel information and details of services and facilities at the airport. It is the first airport in the southern hemisphere to do so.
The Web pages include arrival information, agriculture and customs requirements, terminal facilities, transport, accommodation and recreation facilities, restaurants, cafes, bars, general and duty free shopping and banking services.
Browsers can also read about the history of the airport and aviation in New Zealand, current projects and future developments and see a map of the airport. The site was developed by Auckland-based @URL Internet Consultants and can be found at http://www.auckland-airport.co.nz/.
