Snap extends UFB coverage in North Island

NZ based ISP Snap has extended its ultra-fast broadband (UFB) to nearly 70,000 central North Island homes and businesses.The company is also extending its Chorus network coverage in the North Island with Palmerston North, Napier, Hastings and Rotorua available now, and Taupo available before the end of the year

“Homes, businesses, and schools in Hamilton, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Tokoroa, New Plymouth, and Hawera now have an even wider choice of provider to use from today - and we’ll add Tauranga by the end of the month,” said Snap chief executive Mark Petrie.

Ultrafast Fibre chief executive Maxine Elliott said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Snap as one of our retail partners. Snap has been successful in other parts of New Zealand, so it’s great to see them launching into six Ultrafast Fibre areas offering competitive UFB packages to our customer base.”

Pricing for a residential UFB service starts at $75 per month. This includes Wi-Fi router, phone service, and 100GB of data per month. Pricing for small business UFB services start at $129 per month.
