The service and system transformation branch of the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) has been increasing resources and growing capability to support the expanding role of the Government CIO Colin MacDonald.
As part of this expansion several new roles have been created, reporting to Tim Occleshaw, deputy CEO of the service and system transformation branch.
These roles were advertised in August and have all been filled with people taking up their new positions between now and early December. The roles are GM system transformation (Duncan Reed), director ICT assurance (Alison Schulze), director relationship management (John Roberts) and GM commercial strategy and delivery (Chris Webb).
A new role of Government Enterprise Architect has also been created, reporting to Duncan Reed. James Collier will be taking up that role shortly.
A recruitment program is under way for a range of other positions across the Service and System Transformation branch.
Towards the end of November, Stuart Wakefield, current director of Government ICT strategy and planning, within the service and system transformation branch, will be taking up a new role of transition director. The ICT strategy and planning group is being replaced by three groups – assurance, relationship management and system transformation.
