After functioning without an independent chair since last May, the Telecom Carriers Forum should complete a strategic review of its operations by April, opening the way for a new appointment.
Previous independent chair Richard Westlake retired last year after serving for four terms. The board subsequently sought the strategic review.
Chief executive David Stone, who would normally report to the independent chair, says it would be inappropriate to make an appointment until the review is complete.
“We expect that to happen by April,” he says. “We will then advertise the position.”
