Computerworld NZ, the premier IT title of the country, and IDG NZ, the media company behind the publication, are inviting nominations for the inaugural Computerworld NZ IT Leaders Awards 2014.
Computerworld's IT Leaders program honours the best in ICT talent globally, and this year the initiative is being brought to New Zealand for the first time.
"We feel immense pride in bringing ComputerWorld's global IT Leaders program into New Zealand. This is indicative of the significant growth we have achieved in the country since IDG returned to the New Zealand market a little less than a year ago.
"The ComputerWorld NZ IT Leaders Awards 2014 will highlight the trend-setting work that is being done in the market. We fully expect this inaugural awards to be the start of a process that we will look to repeat annually to set the tone for the entire industry," says Barbara Simon, president and publisher of enterprise at IDG Australia and New Zealand.
The Awards program will highlight risk takers and achievers in the country's ICT teams. It turns the spotlight not just on the individual members that have worked to set themselves apart, but also the path-breaking projects that set the tone for peers and end-users across the country.
"We have ensured that the nomination forms and process remains intuitive and hassle-free to encourage submissions from all parts of the country. We are confident that the Awards will be a representation of genuine, Kiwi-style innovative problem-solving and adaptive business acumen that ICT teams bring to play in projects across vertical sectors in every corner of New Zealand," says Sathya Mithra Ashok, Editor of Computerworld NZ.
Nominations are now open across all ten categories of the Awards. Nomination forms and guidelines can be found here
The final set of nominations will be intensely analysed by a panel of local and international judges, who will use their experience as a guide to cherry-pick the winners.
Award winners will be honoured at the Computerworld IT Leaders Awards 2014 ceremony in October.
