A Notable move as NZ tech startup becomes Google partner

"It is quite difficult to penetrate to the US market especially for an New Zealand startup like us."

Auckland-based tech startup Notable PDF has become a Google for Work Partner, becoming the first New Zealand company to join the tech giant’s latest partner program.

A browser-based PDF viewer with annotation tools, Notable PDF is the brainchild of Alliv Samson, COO, Hengjie Wang, CEO and Jordan Thoms, CTO.

Working on all browsers, alongside a Google Chrome Extension and Google Drive Integration for Google users, the growing company has enjoyed over half a million installs since the beta launch in March this year, becoming one of the fastest growing PDF viewers in the cloud.

"We are very privileged to join the Google program,” Wang says. “It will help us develop the product more for all our Google for Works and Google for Education users.”

The Google for Work Partner Program includes value-added resellers, consultants, managed software providers, developers and independent software vendors that sell, service and customise Google for Work products for their customers.

Wang believes the initiative will help the company enhance the value of Notable PDF for individual users, professionals and education users.

“Notable PDF offers a broad set of powerful tools that will be useful for all Google users to work productively and efficiently,” Wang adds. “With our Google Drive integration and Google Chrome Extension, you no longer have to use any other PDF software to view and manipulate your files.

“It will not only improve your viewing experience but also enable you to do more with your PDF files.

Since launching earlier this year, Notable PDF now considers Google, Eaton Corporation, and hundreds of K12 schools in the United States as customers, as well as across professional industries where thousands of businesses move into the cloud each week.

"It is quite difficult to penetrate to the US market especially for an New Zealand startup like us,” Samson adds.

“Our growth has been great these past few months and with this Partnership Program we can further improve the product for Google users and grow much faster - 2015 is going to be a great year for the company.”
