New Zealand-based global open source software provider Catalyst IT will open its new Catalyst Porirua Data Centre next week, alongside the company’s official launch of Cloud Launch.

To be opened by the Hon Steven Joyce on February 19, the the Catalyst Porirua Data Centre is based on 1 Walton Leigh Avenue, Porirua.

“The launch of the data centre marks the arrival of the first fully automated cloud service in New Zealand, and is the culmination of years of hard work and research and development investment by Catalyst,” says Jason Ryan, Strategy and Relations Manager, Catalyst IT.

“This is a significant technical achievement by the talented open source technologists at Catalyst.

“It signals the arrival of a price competitive, flexible and scalable cloud service that guarantees data sovereignty.”
