The Epson EcoTankTM L365, L455 and L565 are wireless all-in-one printers with integrated ink systems, which the printing giant believes are “ideal for busy homes looking to cut their printing costs.”
Through the integrated high-capacity ink tanks, ink is supplied continuously to the printer, with EcoTank’s integrated high capacity ink tank system boasting enough ink in the box to print up to 4,000 pages in black and 6,500 pages in colour.
Additional high-volume ink bottles can be purchased that have a drip free-free nozzle and resealable cap, which hold enough ink to print 4,000 pages in black and 6,500 pages in colour.
Epson says the EcoTankTM L365 printers have Wi-Fi with auto-setup while users can also print from Android and iOS phones and tablets using Epson’s free iPrint app.
iPrint is free to download from the Apple App store or Android Play store and allows users to print web pages, Microsoft Office documents, photos and PDF’s.
The Epson EcoTankTM L455 is the next step up from the L365 and offers wireless connectivity allowing users to share the EcoTankTM L455 with multiple computers and mobile devices (up to four devices at once).
Users can choose from using an existing network with 802.11n or Wi-Fi Direct which means no wireless network is required, thus improving peer-to-peer printing.
The L455 also uses Apple AirPrint which can print photos, emails, web pages and documents straight from any iPad or iPhone - there's no software to download, no drivers to install and no cables to connect.
Epson adds that Apple iOS devices will automatically connect to the printer, allowing printing on the go from a smartphone or tablet using Google Cloud Print via Gmail or Google Drive account.
Users can also print from a Chromebook and Google Chrome without installing drivers or connecting cables.
Finally, the Epson EcoTankTM L565 is the top of the range EcoTank multifunction printer and in addition to all the features that come with the L365 and L455 the L565 “allows any home office or small office to do more in one small package.”
It features a 100-sheet paper capacity and gives the ability to scan, copy and fax multiple original documents with its convenient 30-page automatic document feeder.
