Computerworld New Zealand is saddened to announce that journalist and friend Randal Jackson has passed away.

Held in the highest regard across the country, Randal’s passing represents the end of an era of old school journalism in the technology industry, an era he helped define with his one of a kind approach to journalism, and life.

Randal dominated the New Zealand tech scene for many many years, writing industry defining stories up until his final days, and will be sorely missed by everyone at Computerworld New Zealand and his great community of friends up and down the country.

Funeral arrangements and updates will be posted shortly.

To all his friends and colleagues in Auckland - the industry will be having a drink to honour Randal on Wednesday June 24, from 5:30pm at Wine Loft Bar in Shortland Street.
