Ultrafast Fibre puts in the hours to ensure operational UFB in flood affected areas

“At this point Ultrafast Fibre is not aware of any network outages caused by the flooding."

Ultrafast Fibre is sending its best wishes and support to Mayor Annette Main, her team and the people of Whanganui and those districts affected by recent floods and landslips.

In providing the media with an update on lower North Island network, Ultrafast Fibre says it is working with authorities while it establishes what is required to ensure the ultra fast broadband network (UFB) remains operational.

“At this point Ultrafast Fibre is not aware of any network outages caused by the flooding,” says William Hamilton, CEO, Ultrafast Fibre.

“However, it is likely the full impact of the floods will not be known until the waters have receded and residents are allowed back into their homes.”

Hamilton says Ultrafast Fibre’s networks outside of the flooded areas remain operational as normal.

“Ultrafast Fibre encourages anyone experiencing an issue with their broadband to contact their retail service provider in the first instance,” Hamilton adds.
