SAS boosts local sales push with new Wellington hire

SAS Institute New Zealand has appointed Campbell Johns to the role of Sales Manager, to based at the company’s Wellington headquarters and reporting to General Manager Geoff Beynon.

Following the recruitment, the business analytics software and services provider’s Auckland and Wellington sales teams will now report to Johns with immediate effect.

In announcing the new sales appointment, Beynon believes the move addresses SAS New Zealand’s continuing strong growth, particularly in the energy, utilities and public sectors, and with increasing demand for the SAS Visual Analytics solution across all markets.

“Given our close integration of services and sales, Campbell has always been across our sales activities and is known to most of our customers,” he says.

“His past strong leadership within our business will ensure a smooth transition to direct sales management.”

Johns has been with SAS New Zealand since 2008 and previously headed the Professional Services team.

Before joining SAS, Johns held technical and management consulting roles with IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
