New ISP player brings Bandwidth on Demand to NZ

“We originally developed this technology for the hospitality sector, catering for daily fluctuations in bandwidth usage."

Broadband Solutions, one of the fastest growing Internet service providers in Australia and New Zealand, has launched Bandwidth on Demand to the New Zealand market.

According to the ISP, the technology helps customers meet “fluctuating bandwidth needs” while only paying for the data they use.

“Our new service promises to dramatically reduce the broadband and telephony costs for businesses in New Zealand by instantly opening up additional bandwidth when and if they need it,” says Sam Bashiry, Managing Director, Broadband Solutions.

Bashiry says the technology works by automatically ‘bursting’ to satisfy increased demand when required, whether that be a conference, a large series of file uploads, or special event.

“We originally developed this technology for the hospitality sector, catering for daily fluctuations in bandwidth usage,” Bashiry adds.

“We then a saw wide range of other sectors that could use this technology. We now have clients in the hospitality, education, creative and healthcare industries.

“We’ve saved our customers hundreds of thousands of dollars by ensuring that they only ever pay for the bandwidth they need, when they need it.”

Bashiry says businesses can pay for speeds as low as 2 Mbps, and burst to 1000 Mbps in real time.

“It’s a superior and more stable product than those currently on the market and is just a fraction of the price,” Bashiry adds.

Bashiry says the product is available alongside Broadband Solutions’ range of telecommunications solutions, including all-IP based PABX networks and direct NBN services.
