Tait expands Australian presence with new Sydney headquarters

New Zealand-based critical communications company opens new Asia Pacific headquarters in Sydney.

New Zealand-based critical communications company Tait Communications is opening its new Asia Pacific headquarters in Sydney.

The office will increase Tait's Australian presence alongside its existing regional sales and support centres in Brisbane, Melbourne and Singapore.

Dean Brookes, Regional General Manager of Tait Asia Pacific, says opening a new regional headquarters in Sydney demonstrated the continued importance of this market for Tait's global business and its ongoing commitment to customers in the region.

“Our new Sydney office is an important demonstration of Tait's continued growth and investment in Australia,” Brookes adds.

“It is a natural fit for us as we look to strengthen the relationships with our customers in Australia and the wider Asia Pacific region.

“Aside from being at the heart of Australia's economy, it offers greater proximity to our international headquarters in Christchurch, New Zealand, where our research and technology, manufacturing and 24/7 support teams are based.

“We are looking forward to our teams working even more closely together to offer our customers a greater mix of products and solutions.”

Alongside Brookes, Tait Asia Pacific's Regional Sales Director Michael Mulvey will also move to Sydney.

New engineering, project management and administration staff will further bolster the sales team based there.

Brookes says Tait's Brisbane office will continue to host sales, engineering and support teams, including specialised support for Queensland accounts including Queensland Rail.

Tait has recently appointed Stephen Savage to Services Delivery Manager and Andrew Smith to Engineering Solutions Manager, both based in the Brisbane office.

The Melbourne office has a sales and service team, including a repair centre and a dedicated support team for customers including Telstra and the Victoria Country Fire Authority.
