Dell has announced a new, full range of security solutions built around implementing an enterprise security strategy to protect organisation from evolving threats while strengthening business agility.
Showcased at Dell World this week, the new future-ready solutions from Dell’s security portfolio include a new approach to detecting and blocking advanced persistent threats and expanded user security for cloud apps with multi-factor authentication.
In addition, enhancements have been made to the Dell Data Protection (DDP) suite of data security solutions, coupled with management and policy integration across Dell next-generation firewalls (NGFWs) and new application security services.
“Attacks and hacks on business assets continue to be a common occurrence and are becoming more sophisticated,” says Curtis Hutcheson, VP and general manager, Dell Security.
“It is imperative for organisations to implement a solid security strategy that protects them not just today, but for the future.
“These new solutions provide superior protection to our customers’ applications, data, customers and employees through an integrated suite of next-generation firewalls , user security and access, and end point controls.”
Speaking at Dell World, Hutcheson believes businesses are becoming more strategic with their security investments and are using security to enable new things or a competitive advantage.
As a result, Dell is now offering a technology preview of the Dell SonicWALL APT Protection Service at Dell World.
“This new service - available on both firewalls and email security solutions - scans files of any size and holds potentially malicious unknown files until a verdict can be reached,” Hutcheson explains.
“This solution is built on multi-layered sandbox technologies that use both system emulation and virtualisation techniques to detect more threats than competitors’ single engine solutions and leverages the SonicWALL GRID, our cloud forensics platform which leverages real time analytics from over 500K connected NGFWs.
