Xero forges global partnership with time tracker TSheets

Xero said the integration would improve the way small and medium sized businesses operate by saving them time and money on payroll, invoicing and billing

Cloud-based accounting software company, Xero, has announced a global partnership to integrate its software with that from TSheets, a US-based company that has developed what is claimed to be “the number one employee rated and requested scheduling and time tracking software.”

Xero said the integration would improve the way small and medium sized businesses operate by saving them time and money on payroll, invoicing and billing. “TSheets is sweeping business owners and bookkeepers everywhere off their feet with fast, easy, and mobile time tracking for payroll,” it said.

TSheets has developed apps for iOS and Android that enable employees to clock in, clock out, take a break, submit timesheets, change tasks, etc. The TSheets Crew App enables a number of employees to be logged on or off with a single entry.

In November 2015 US website Business News Daily rated TSheets the best time and attendance system for businesses with a mobile workforce. “After conducting extensive research and analysis of time and attendance systems, we recommend TSheets,” the publication said.

“What makes TSheets such an attractive system for businesses with employees who always, or sometimes, work outside the office is the variety of ways they can manage their time and attendance. Out of all of the services we examined, TSheets offers mobile employees the most options for clocking in and out. With this system, on-the-go employees can use laptop computers, mobile apps, telephones, text messages or Twitter to record their time each day.”

TSheets, which prides itself on being based in “Rural Boise Idaho” rather than in Silicon Valley, was founded in 2006. It claims to have enjoyed 100 per cent growth year-over-year for the past three years, and to have made a name for itself as a top-rated app in more than 100 countries.

TSheets co-founder and CEO, Matt Rissell, said Xero was one of the integrations most often requested by accountants and bookkeepers. “The more we looked at Xero’s product, the more it was easy to see why the demand is high. Xero is innovative, driven, and dedicated to the success of small businesses and their partners. These powerful ingredients align perfectly with TSheets and drove our willingness to dedicate significant engineering resources to build a world-class integration between our two products.”
